Advice, Representation, & Justice for Ohio Seniors

Founded in 1975, Pro Seniors’ mission is to enhance the independence and quality of life of older adults by empowering them, by protecting their interests and by facilitating their access to resources.

Pro Seniors provides education, advice, advocacy, representation and justice for seniors in Ohio through our three programs, all provided at no cost to clients.  If your Medicaid application is denied and you don’t know what to do, if you are concerned about how your elderly aunt is being treated in a nursing home, or if your adult children steal your savings, we can help.  How do we help our clients?  Watch this brief video.

Legal Services

We have a Legal Helpline for Ohio seniors, age 60 and over, to speak with an attorney free of charge.  In addition, for seniors living in Southwest Ohio (Butler, Clermont, Clinton, Hamilton, & Warren counties), we have in-house attorneys who can assist.

Long-Term Care Ombudsman

Our ombudsmen are advocates for the rights of people in nursing home services and other long-term care, and ensure that they are being treated with respect in their long-term care situation.  They help protect your rights and can connect seniors to needed services or agencies. The ombudsmen can also help seniors and their families with the process of selecting a long-term care provider.

Ohio SMP (Senior Medicare Patrol)

Using a team of volunteers, Ohio SMP teaches Ohioans how to avoid Medicare fraud, scams and identity theft.

“With Pro Seniors’ continued assistance we are on course to ensure her safety, security, protection, quality of life and peace of mind.  We remain deeply and profoundly grateful to you as well as all other parties at Pro Seniors associated with her case.”
