Pro Seniors Executive Director Honored for her Leadership

Pro Seniors Executive Director Rhonda Y. Moore has been awarded the Denis Murphy Award from the Ohio Legal Assistance Foundation (OLAF). The Denis Murphy Award was created in 1998 in honor of Denis J. Murphy, the Foundation’s founding board president, and is given annually to recognize outstanding leadership and advocacy within Ohio’s legal aid societies.
A group of board members nominated Moore without her knowledge. In their nomination, they talked about how, under her direction, Pro Seniors has “grown in stature and services.” She helped Pro Seniors remain dedicated to seniors with a talented and dedicated staff during the recession. At the same time, she encouraged her staff to take on cases like Wheaton vs. McCarthy, which will affect thousands of Ohio’s seniors who may have been previously denied services. She is an outstanding advocate for seniors.
OLAF presented Moore the award at Pro Seniors’ 40th Anniversary luncheon.
