This week, I was able to shadow Carolyn King, our Ombudsman Intake Specialist. During my time working alongside Carolyn, I got some valuable insights into our Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program and the hard work our Ombudsmen do to advocate for and educate those that may not be able to do so themselves.
Did you know that March is National Social Work Month? Many of our Ombudsman staff at Pro Seniors are social workers, and I am so glad I have the opportunity to watch our Ombudsman staff be so dedicated in their mission to fight for others.
Our Ombudsman staff are regularly out in the field, visiting long-term care facilities to educate and empower residents, and ensure their voices are being heard and respected.
Did you know Pro Seniors also accepts applications for Volunteer Ombudsman? The application form and more information about becoming a Volunteer Ombudsman can be found on our website.
