Attorney Walters Writes about Handling Hotline Abuse Calls

Pro Seniors’ attorney Mike Walters has an article in Elder Law of Michigan’s Center for Elder Rights Advocacy blog, The CERA Blog, about handling hotline abuse calls. In “Hotline Abuse Calls – Lessons Learned,” Walters provides a list of lessons that the hotline attorneys at Pro Seniors have learned from handling cases of abuse, neglect and exploitation. For example, most cases of elder abuse are clouded in other legal problems, and hotline attorneys have to be alert to the red flags so that they can ask open ended questions that allow the client to tell his or her story.
