Mission

To promote professional growth and development while building relationships among like-minded new professionals that support the betterment of the lives of seniors in our community through networking, mentorship, and social events.

Time Commitment

Two (2) meetings per year, along with two (2) networking/social events per year, taking place quarterly. Share this fact sheet.

Inaugural Members

Shannon Braun

Shannon Braun, LISW-S is the Director of the Center for Memory Support and Inclusion with Episcopal Retirement Services. She provides education, support, and social engagement to individuals and families facing dementia, in addition to promoting dementia inclusivity to businesses and organizations in the Cincinnati area. She has over ten years of experience in aging and dementia care in a variety of settings, including hospice, long term care, and in the community. Shannon has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Saint Louis University and a Master of Social Work from University of Cincinnati with a concentration in Health Care and Gerontology. She is a Licensed Independent Social Worker with Supervision Designation in the state of Ohio.

Hannah McCarren

Hannah is a Contract Auditor with the Council on Aging of Southwest Ohio. Her experience in aging services covers a wide range including dementia care, home care, and hospice. She earned her Bachelors in Gerontology with a minor in Art Therapy and a Masters of Gerontological Studies, both from Miami University. Serving older adults and their families is a core value in Hannah’s professional and personal life.  Email: hmccarren@help4seniors.org

Brenon Russell

With a Bachelor’s Degree from Thomas More and a Juris Doctorate from The University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law, Brenon’s practice centers around estate planning. He knows that the topic can be morbid and intimidating for many individuals and families, so he brings a compassionate approach when meeting with clients, striving to bring peace of mind and a sense of security to the clients he serves. He works with clients to develop a deep understanding of their goals, and understands that each family has unique goals they seek to accomplish, as there is no one-size-fits-all plan.
